Stefanie Giesinger is engaged! The marriage proposal was so bizarre

Stefanie Giesinger nonchalantly dropped a bombshell on the podcast: she and her boyfriend Armando Mayr are engaged! All the info.

Some post a picture of their engagement ring on Instagram, others don’t make a big deal out of it and Stefanie Giesinger casually tells actor Jannik Schümann in her podcast “G Spot” that she recently got engaged in Japan! The lucky man at Stefanie Giesinger’s side is model, bodybuilder and yes, baker Armando Mayr. We’ll tell you how the engagement came about here.

“I also had a marriage proposal in Japan. Three and a half months ago I met a man who I thought was really great, I fell in love with him straight away and then we started spending a lot of time together and that felt really nice and inspiring. But then I had to leave. Then I was in Japan for a month. We wrote to each other every day, spoke on the phone every day and then he said: ‘Hey, how would you feel if I came?'” the GNTM winner begins to tell in the podcast. And although the two had only known each other for three months, her boyfriend then asked the crucial question: “Yes, what do you think? Should we just get married?”

And that’s what the two of them planned to do, right there and then, Las Vegas style. “I was the first to say: ‘I can imagine getting married to you right away. I just want to be with you, no matter what. I just feel this connection.'” she continues. They found a chapel and a vintage wedding dress by Vivienne Westwood, everything seemed perfect. Busy planning their wedding, Armando wanted to make a ‘proper’ proposal, so in the rain outside a restaurant he got down on one knee and asked: “Will you marry me?”

The model did not reveal how exactly she answered, but she did confirm: “I’m engaged!” Is the only thing missing the ring? The couple, who are clearly head over heels in love, found an – well – unconventional solution for that too: “He painted a ring on my finger and I painted it on his,” said the model. They then had the ring tattooed in Japan. “Now we’re fiancé and fiancé and that feels sweet too.”

The spontaneous wedding in Japan didn’t happen (yet?), but it could happen at any moment. The 28-year-old doesn’t yet know exactly what her special day will look like. “But somehow I also know that for me there won’t be a big wedding in front of all the family, friends and obligatory invitees. Everything in me is screaming not to do it in this traditional way,” she says. Either way, we wish them both only the best and can hardly wait to see wedding photos of the sweet couple.
