Transfer News – Guti has agreed to a two year contract with Turkish giants Beşiktaş, which will take the Spanish footballer away from the Santiago Bernabeu for the first time in his career.
The Beşiktaş official website wrote on Thursday that “Beşiktaş Football Investment industry and Trade Inc, have let the IMKB (stock market) that they have started negotiations with Real Madrid player Guti and his club.”
However it widely excepted that Beşiktaş JK informs the stock exchange of a possible transfer deal only when the player is certain to come.
Beşiktaş have given Guti a two year contract worth €3 million a year. Guti and Chairman Yıldırım Demirören are expected to arrive in Turkey within Thursday.
Beşiktaş have made some important transfers this season with the arrival of former Real Madrid Boss, Bernd Schuster.
With the arrival of Ricardo Quaresma and now Guti Beşiktaş are planning to be champions of the Turkish Super League and go far in the Uefa Europa League.
It is also widely speculated that Real Madrid veteran and goal machine Raul may also be transferred to Beşiktaş with the help of Schuster who worked with the player in his spell at the Bernabeu.
Beşiktaş JK had recently been tourned down by Manchester City for a multi-million pound deal to bring Brazilian sensation Robinho.
Beşiktaş will play their first formal game of the season against Faroe Island side Víkingur in the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round on Thursday.
