Valencia and football fans from around the world were in dismay on Sunday after the La Liga clash between Mallorca vs Valencia was the scene for an interesting confrontation.
Valencia coach Unai Emery had subbed off Argentinian international Ever Banega on the 73rd minute for David Silva while his team was behind 3-1.
The 21-year-old Argentinian refused to shake the hand of the Valencia manager and shoved him while walking by which angered the manager and resulted in a confrontation.
The young Argentinian stars immature behaviour was seen clearly by cameramen and was aired for several minutes opening debates in Spanish Football programs.
He has since apologised for his behaviour to the Canal “I’m very sorry. It was a heated moment, where we were losing, something I should not have done. I apologize to all my colleagues, coaches, the club, the fans. I apologize and will never do it again,”
“I know I made a mistake and never want to commit something like that again.”
Mallorca went on to win the La Liga top half game 3-2 while Manuel Fernandes who scored an own goal in the 63rd minute was sent off on the 88th.
