Kate and Williams Kids are all beaming when they take a carriage ride
In addition to his siblings George and Charlotte, Louis was also allowed to ride in the carriage with his mother for the first time at “Trooping the Colour”. Duchess Kate had put on a very special outfit for her youngest son.
The main multi-day celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee kicked off this Thursday with the Trooping the Color parade. Unlike in previous years, however, the 96-year-old did not arrive in a carriage this time. Their great-grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte and baby Prince Louis were allowed to sit in the festive car together with their mother Duchess Kate and Duchess Camilla.
The siblings matched the color of their outfits. Eight-year-old George, quite the big brother, showed up for the parade in a dark blue suit, white collared shirt and blue tie. Charlotte, who was a year younger, wore a light blue dress with sweeping sleeves and a bow on the collar.

But especially Loius’ outfit was something special. Mama Kate had chosen a maritime, white and blue ensemble for the four-year-old – like his father Prince William had worn in 1985 as a mini-royal at the “Trooping the Color” parade.
The Duchess of Cambridge herself opted for a white Alexander McQueen dress and a white and blue hat by Philip Treacy. Duchess Camilla arrived in a light blue striped gown, pearl necklace and matching hat.
Prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Anne appeared on horseback. The three represented Queen Elizabeth II as Colonels in the Welsh Guards, Irish Guards and Blues and Royals at the parade. For the first time, the monarch did not take the salute.
