After the end of the eighties the hits were rare, the band broke up temporarily in 1989 from Chicago. Jimi Jamison turned down offers from, enter as a singer with Deep Purple and Journey, solo, he sang “I’m Always Here” the theme to the TV series “Baywatch”. The death of Jimi Jamison at the age of 63 years was unexpected. “The whole Survivor family is very shocked and saddened by the death of our brother Jimi Jamison,” it said on Tuesday in a statement on the official Facebook page of the band. The musician died on Sunday evening at his home in Memphis of a heart attack, said one of his agents of the celebrity portal “TMZ”.
