Rojas, 26, won gold at the 2022 World Championships in Athletics held in Eugene, Oregon with a record of 15.47 meters.
The Venezuelan achieved this mark, the best of the season, in her second jump in front of some 10,000 fans at Hayward Field in Eugene, in the United States.
She clearly beat Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts, who took silver with 14.89 meters, and American Tori Franklin, bronze with 14.72.
In fourth place, with a jump of 14.70 meters, was the Cuban Leyanis Pérez, 20 years old.
Rojas holds the world record in the category (15.74 meters) that she achieved this year at the Indoor World Championships in Belgrade.
With Monday’s title, she already has three golds in the outdoor world championships (2017, 2019 and 2022) and another three on the indoor track (2016, 2018 and 2022).
She was also an Olympic champion at the Tokyo 2020 Games with the best outdoor mark so far: 15.67 meters.
Her participation in Eugene 2022 had been called into question after missing a competition last month in Madrid due to an iliopsoas injury in her left leg.
The Venezuelan athlete, 1.92 meters tall and 72 kilos, is the best in the world in triple jump and easily beats her rivals in almost all the championships since 2017.
Yulimar Rojas has set herself the challenge of being the first woman to break the 16 meter barrier, something that she considers her “big goal”.
