The Asian side went 1-0 ahead on the 39th minute after a Daisuke Matsui cross was put in by Keisuke Honda.

The Japanese side were then able to hold their composure and go through the game without conceding a goal.
When we look at the techniquel side of the game, Cameroon were not playing as a team.
The African Lions were obviously affected by pressure from home and away to have demonstrated such a poor performance against a Japanese side which is relatively new to the International arena.
When I say pressure from home, I am talking more about the pressure Eto’o has been under, after Roger Milla’s criticism of the Cameroon superstar which led to Eto’o threatening to retire from the team.
Paul Le Guen, Cameroon’s French manager also looked as though his authority was being questioned as the team looked all over the place and there was too much reliance on Inter Milan’s superstar, Eto’o.
The Japenese players unlike Cameroon played as a team and although they are still learning football as a nation, they were able to beat a poor African side.
It was no surprise that CSKA Moscow player, Keisuke Honda the scorer of the only goal of the Japan Vs Cameroon game was chosen as Man of the Match.
The Japanese side showed that the game consists of 11 players and not just one or two and kept their composure for a disserved 1-0 win.
