So far, the Klitschko brothers have held out in the embattled Ukrainian capital. Vladimir is now traveling to Germany to hold talks with Ukraine’s partners.
Ex-boxer Wladimir Klitschko left Kyiv surprisingly and is on his way to Germany. There he wants to hold talks on the situation in Ukraine and seek support. The 46-year-old is the brother of the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.
Vitali Klitschko tweeted: “Friends! Today it is very important to unite all forces – both in Ukraine and to consolidate the position and actions of our partner countries. Wladimir is to meet with a delegation from Ukraine left Germany.” It is about economic, humanitarian and military aid for the state attacked by Russia.
The capital of Ukraine has been under Russian fire for weeks. A few days ago, Russia announced that it would withdraw troops from Kyiv. However, the West doubts this.
