Wesley Sneijder Wil play This Year For Manchester United

Manchester United reportedly want to sign Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder.

Disappointingly, it could be City who will beat us to the signing of Wesley Sneijder. As we all know, Sir Alex Ferguson was close to bringing him to Manchester United last season, with Sneijder finally opting to stay in Milan. Rumour has it that United were not keen on matching his wage demands. Sir Alex never officially came out and said he was after Sneijder, but the fact that Paul Scholes came out of retirement soon after spoke volumes.

Wesley Sneijder had this to say: ‘I am happy at Inter, but we will see. I currently have no contacts with other clubs and I am living day by day. ‘If on the last day of the transfer window an offer had arrived, maybe I would have left.
‘The truth is that I feel at home at Inter, but I do not know where I will play next season.’

Alex Ferguson tried to sign Sneijder last year and when he likes someone he very rarely lets go of that bone and he will go back in for them.
‘He did the same for a lot of players – like Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He had a broken leg when he first went in for him but he went back in for him a year later – it wouldn’t surprise me if he goes back in for Sneijder and he finally gets his man.’

However, they could not agree a deal and Scholes came out of retirement in January, almost helping Ferguson’s side to regain their championship.

Manchester United Planning €36 Million Bid For Wesley Sneijder

Manchester United are preparing a €36 million bid for Sneijder, who had a difficult last season after seeing a move to Old Trafford fall through. The Holland international midfielder was a big money target for United last summer and after missing out on Lille attacker Eden Hazard this week, the Premier League giants plan to make a new move for the Dutch ace.

The report claims that any deal will not be completed until after Euro 2012, where Sneijder is expected to play a key role with the Netherlands.
