Manchester United emerged as a potential landing spot for the wantaway striker and the possible move has enthralled commentators and spectators alike throughout the summer transfer window.

However, should a move take place, how would he fit at  Manchester United? Where would he play; what other players would be affected by his arrival?

Robin Van Persie is demanding £10.1million a year for his signature this summer.

The Dutchman’s agent Kees Vos met with Italian champions Juventus and revealed the Arsenal skipper wants £195,000 a week in wages. That would make Van Persie one of the highest-paid players in the world. Wayne Rooney receives £200,000 a week from United.

Manchester United Transfer News : United Prepare £32M Bid for Lucas Moura

Manchester United are preparing to make a third bid for Sao Paulo’s promising attacking midfielder, Lucas Moura.

Having had bids of around £23 million and £27 million rejected earlier this month, the club are prepared to up their offer one more time to £32 million, in the hope that this will finally tempt the Brazilian club to part with their most prized asset.

Sao Paulo director Marco Aurelio Cunha had yesterday told local publication TMW that United only needed to offer “a little more” to complete the transfer, his comments interpreted by some to be confirmation that the club were willing to sell Lucas.

The Brazilian prodigy looked very impressive when subbed on for the final 20 minutes of his country’s Olympic warm-up game with Great Britain yesterday, and United will be keen to complete the transfer before the tournament begins, in fear that his price tag may skyrocket if the player were to impress.

As well as making 15 appearances for the Brazilian national side, Lucas has played over 100 times for Sao Paulo, scoring an impressive 26 goals in all competitions.

  1. I think fergie has made a good decision van persie is a good player so he deserves to lift trophies and the only club to go is man united let him come and enjoy footbal with the combination of rooney ,chicharito and welback its gona be fire.

  2. i tink if fergie could buy rvp i wil be more comfortable wit d strike force den talking abt lucas well i have never had such a name lyk dat if not dis summer bt due 2 d midfid problem i wil advise d world best coach 2 sign moura and rvp

  3. Donald I hope u nt refering 2 giggs and scholes when u say old players…and put javier on loan are u normal dude?? His a great and we got him 4 a bargain…man utd just need Baines, RVP, and Moura 2 bolster their team and by then I asure u Manchester united can concor England and europe..this is 4 all u Barce, Real chelsea nd City fools Manchester united shall always rule!

  4. Well i must thank Sir for his good work for getting players,if am to say we need to do cleanup at man u first i mean selling off some of our old players and get in new ones so that we will not be in lack of money to make a new deal. Some one like Berbatorv,Owen and send some on loan to reduce the payment we do make on players people like chicharito ,Anderson, macheda i didnt mean they are bad but there will less expendture for the clud to do hence Lucas and vanpersie is comming so as not to keep them on bench.am happy to see my United go ahead am a die hard united………????????

  5. the money to buy the two is there, where and on whom did fergie spend ronaldos’ money? he can still raise more money from sales of berbatov, fletcher, park, kuscack, bebe. modric is also a must buy. sincerely if u get moura, rvp and modric for about 90m pounds, and they bring silverware every season, keep you in the lucrative stages of the champions league, increase marketing and advertising revenue, then i think the buys are good enough.

  6. There is no doubt that RVP is an exceptional player, but its very funny how we have all forgotten about his injury issues. He would be a fine addition to Manu, but considering his demands in terms of wages, I really hope this doesn’t become another Hargreaves story.

  7. Don’t worry guys we are getting both players. Whens was the last time United spent BIG I mean BIG ona single player? Berbatov. 4years ago and we still won the title twice. Fergie has been saving up till some snatches it so he can come back and come back HARD! e.g. win the title by a massive point gap to show whos boss. So towards the end of the tranfser window from many different sources I’ve read Fergie is going to bid 50m for Van Persie and there’s noway hes turning that down. He said he wants trophies and 195,000pounds a week so we’ve granted him his wishes. And dont worry about Lucas easy Buy UNited getting him for 32milliom. When they’ll do sign both you can come play me a visit with a message 🙂
