Ukraine Grateful for Cuban Help to Chernobil Children
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishenko was thankful to the Cuban government for the attention given to nearly 26,000 citizens of Ukraine affected by the accident of Chernobil, occurred in 1986.
“We are going to develop our economic, commercial and scientific links with Cuba, but the main value is human life, above all,” said Grishenko during his visit to Tarara, a place where the program for attention to Chernobil children is developed.
“We will always be grateful to the Cuban authorities because of their efforts to improve the health of our children,” said the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.
The program has more than 20 years after created, and has taken care of nearly 26,000 patients.
