Turkish parliament discuss cross-border intervention to Syria; government offers, opposition refuses
Turkish AKP government will bring up a Syrian cross-border assault to the Turkish Parliament, but the opposition is expected to vote against it.
The resolution for a cross-border opearation was brought to the Cabinet last night, while Turkish military was pounding Syrian targets as a retaliation measure. An offensive against Syria will be on the agenda at a special meeting scheduled to take place today in the Turkish parliament. Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) members have decided to vote against the resolution following a group meeting of their own party in the early hours of the day.

Turkey : Syria Retaliation was performed under renewed engagement policy
Turkish Prime Ministry announced the retaliation move which killed more than 30 Syrian troops. The move is considered as part of the renewed engagement policy of Turkey after a Turkish plane was shut down by Syrian air defense.
