Turkish Army: Crashed Turkish Jet downed by Syria but not with Syrian anti-aircraft

Turkish Army -TSK- continues to issue incocnsistent reports in total contradicton to official statements from AKP government on how the Turkish jet got downed on 22th June by Syria. General staff rules out Syrian anti-aircraft as uggested by Syrian officials.

Istanbul – NationalTurk / Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) makes clear once more that the jet was shot down by Syria but the mystery on how the Turkish military aircraft was downed continues. TSK and AKP governments statement contradict with eachother.

Turkish Jet downed in Syria : It is an officially domestic crisis between people – army and AKP government

*In light of the recent criminal investigations, it has been established that there is no possibility that our fallen jet was shot down by Syrian anti-aircraft fire, as had initially been suggested by Syrian authorities,* the Turkish Armed Forces – Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri- s written statement posted on its official website reads.

Downed Jet crisis Turkey : This is no more about Turkey-Syria

The previous statement on July 11 posted on TSK’s official website had led to confusion in Turkey, because taht statement from Turkish Armed Forces had declined to use the term *shot down by Syria* for the first time, contradicting TSKs and AKP Governments* earlier statements. Turkish Military clearly indicated with that statement * our plane that Syria claimed to have shot down *

With its statement on Friday, the Turkish Armed Forces reiterated that the Turkish jet was *shot down* by Syria, while, however, highlighting that how it was shot down by Syria would be shed into light after the entire research for lost parts of the downed Turkish aircraft from the depths of Medditerranean was completely finished. Turkish Army , however, did not give the details on the reason for the altered expression in July 11’s statement.

* After the important pieces of the downed jet on the seabed at Medditerranean are recovered and their technical examination is finalized, it will be possible to reveal how our F-4 plane was shot down by Syria,* TSK announced with its latest statement.

*We ask for patience until all our investigations are thoroughly finalized, and also for respect to the official statements made by the authorities – AKP officials* on the subject of our fallen jet from our most valued public and all press members,* the Turkish Army staement also expressed, apparently referring to the debates that ensued following its July 11 statement in Turkey. Turks are concerned about the developments and the inconsistent reports or comments coming from Turkish government officials and Turkish Army whose leash is in tight at AKP s hands attempts to reflect worries and sorrow of Turkish people following the events of the downed Turkish jet by Syria.

The currently halted downed Turkish jet s wreck rescue will restart shortly, the TSK announced, without giving a specific date.
