24,727 search and rescue personnel of AFAD, PAK, JAK, JÖAK, DİSAK, Coast Guard, DAK, Güven, fire brigade, rescue, MEB, NGOs and international teams are working in the region.
The number of search and rescue personnel from other countries is 5,709.
With the number of field personnel assigned from AFAD, Police, Gendarmerie, MSB, UMKE, ambulance teams, volunteers, local security and local support teams, the number of personnel working in the region has reached 113 thousand 201.
137 thousand 929 tents and 1 million 255 thousand 500 blankets were shipped to 10 cities heavily affected by the earthquake by AFAD, the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Red Crescent, and the installation of 92 thousand 738 family tents was completed.
A total of 95 mobile kitchens, 79 catering vehicles, 1 mobile soup kitchen, 4 mobile ovens, 39 field kitchens, 1 container kitchen and 86 service vehicles from the Red Crescent, AFAD, MSB, Gendarmerie and Non-Governmental Organizations (IHH, Hayrat, Beşir, Initiative Associations) shipped.
Rescue efforts continue for citizens trapped under the rubble
Rescue teams, racing against time in Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman and Gaziantep, where 72 hours passed since the earthquake, are listening to the environment in the debris.
Asking those who are waiting for their relatives in the wreckage to be quiet, the teams are trying to get a sound from the concrete piles they entered using high-tech devices.
When they detect the slightest sign of life, the teams meticulously carry out their work and warm themselves by the fire lit by the citizens waiting for their relatives at the rubble in Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep and Adıyaman, where the air temperature drops to 5 degrees below zero at night.
TSK makes support flights over the “air aid corridor”
Rescue teams and aid materials were transported with 519 sorties through the “air aid corridor” created by the Turkish Armed Forces for the transport of search and rescue teams to the region.
The injured people taken from the earthquake area are also taken to other provinces by the same planes.
