Cuban citizen Carlos Rizo, who followed the elections, told the AFP microphone that they were ‘praying’ for Trump to win and said “Everyone knows what Black Lives Matter is and what it provoked.
Florida is seen as a complex state in terms of population distribution and voting preferences. It has a large number of Hispanic voters, but Hispanics in the state are not as clearly Democratic leaning as elsewhere in the country. “Democrats have lost their Hispanic vote. Not only Cubans, but also Venezuelans, Argentines, Bolivians, Colombians. All are pro-Trump,” said Eduardo Gamarra, Professor of Political Science at Florida International University.
Gamarra commented that the Black Lives Matters movement negatively affected Biden’s vote in Florida from the Latin voter.
