Trabzon / NationalTurk – The Trabzon club executive had been the victim of a shooting outside his residence in Trabzon last weekend and is still recovering and Mayor of Trabzon informed two suspects have been detained by Trabzon police.
Now the motives behind the armed attack to Nevzat Şakar are coming to light. Latest police reports indicate that a conflict of interests in Tranzonspor is the major reason for the shooting. An armed gang who want to racketeer and make illegal profit are behind the shooting!
Trabzonspor vice president Nevzat Sakar was detained during the match fixing investigation as a suspect in Turkey then released by the court pending a trial. He has been shot in the leg with police still working to identify the culprit, according to Trabzonspor’s official website.
The Turkish executive assaulted at around 02.30 CET on Sunday while standing outside of his house in Trabzon. The culprit is believed to have fired three bullets, one hitting Trabzon vice-prsedint Sakar in the foot.
Despite being wounded and taken to hospital, the vice president was discharged this morning and is now recovering at home. Hiscondition is fine and he makes a full recovery.
A statement on Trabzonspor’s website had stated: “In front of his house last night, Mr Nevzat Sakar was the victim of a heinous attack. We hope the attacker is caught as soon as possible and brought to justice.
Various club presidents and mayor of Trabzon visited or sent speedy recovery wishes to the Trabzonspor executive, who is a match fixing suspect. Fenerbahce Istanbul, whose relations with Trabzonspor hit rock bottom after match fixing allegations also sent a message saying, ”we are sorry fo what happenned in Trabzon”
Mayor of Trabzon’s comments regarding Trabzon had highlighted the visit. ”This incident shocked us as it occurred in Trabzon, one of Turkey’s safest towns, ” the mayor stated. The Mayor stated after recent arrests that the case is close to be closed.
