Thai People Celebrates Loy Krathong

Loy Krathong Festival, is widely know as Festival for apologize from elf of water, is being celebrated across the Thailand.

Buddhist monks light candles at a temple in Chiang Mai on Monday.

Loy Krathong is an occasion where floral floats are lighted and released at a river as a symbol of good luck and to mark a fresh beginning to life.

Within the context of the celebrations Bangkok Municipality took tight security measures.

Nearly 500 people organized the security measures in 132 different points in the capital. This Year nearly 946.000 Krathong(lighted floral floats) was left on the Chao Phraya River by the Thai Buddhist.
