Seven from same family shot dead at Texas Christmas gathering turned into a massacre.

Dallas / NationalTurk – Apparent murder-suicide in Grapevine, near Dallas, shocked US where group of family members had just finished unwrapping gifts. Seven members of a family were shot dead on Christmas day.

The unfortunate group, believed to have been from the same family, were cleaning up the wrapping paper when they were killed by gunshot fires in a Grapevine apartment, Dallas police stated.

The four women and three men, aged between 18 and 60, were found in an adjoining kitchen and living room when police entered the apartment around midday. Two handguns were found near the bodies in the apartment, which was decorated with a Christmas tree.

“It appears they had just celebrated Christmas. They had opened their gifts,” the police official said, adding that the motive for the killing is unknown. Grapevine is just outside Dallas, small community is in shock, as one police lieutenant said “Seven people in one setting in Grapevine, that’s never happened before. Ever,”.

Investigators believe that all the victims were related – some were visiting Grapevine and did not live in the apartment. Police were looking for other relatives for any information. Police had gone in after answering a 911 call with no one speaking on the other end.

It adds to the mistery of the so called Texas Christmas Massacre as no neighbours reported hearing anything on a quiet Christmas morning since many of the nearby apartments are vacant and police said when many people were not around.
