An Armenian plane en route to Syria was forced to land by Turkish forces in the eastern Turkish province of Erzurum for a security check.
Erzurum / NationalTurk – The Armenian plane was on its way to Syria’s war-stricken city of Aleppo, Turkish officials from Turkey’s Foreign Ministry announced. An unofficial comments from Turkey’s Foreign Ministry also announced the grounding of the Armenian plane was implemented according to a mutual agreement that was signed by Turkey and Armenia.
Armenia delivered its demand to Turkish authorities to send humanitarian aid to Syria. Turkey has accepted Armenian demand on condition of being authorized of searching every Armenian plane en route to Syria.

The exact cause for the grounding of the Armenian plane in Erzurum, Turkey remains unknown. The plane is searched by Turkish authorities.
Turkey is on a plane grounding row, last week a Russian plane was forced to land in Ankara searched for weapons on board.
