At least 23 Taliban fighters and suicide bombers have been killed and dozens more wounded due to a suicide motorcycle bomb in Afghanistan – southern province of Kandahar.
7 suicide bombers detonated their explosives and sixteen others were killed in clashes. Four others were captured by Afghan forces and Zalmai Ayoub, devoted a spokesman for governor of Kandahar – Zalmai Ayoubi.
The suicide tragedy in Kandahar
One suicide bomber detonated his motorbike filled with explosives first. After that, as people rushed to assist the casualties, another suicide bomber on foot walked up to the area and blew himself up, confirmed a spokesman for Kandahar province – Javid Faisal. He told the death toll stood at 23 and that 50 were wounded. All the dead people were civilians. He also said that all victims were civilians – not a single military person. He described them as drivers, their assistants and workers.

According to officials news, Kandahars hospital said : ‘ three people who have been killed and 47 others injured in the clashes have been hospitalised ‘. In the meanwhile, Zemarai Bashari – a spokesman for Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs at a press conference on Sunday and he said to reporters that twenty three Taliban were killed and four others were arrested by Afghan forces.
Intercessor Zemarai Bashari added also that two Afghan police were killed in the attacks, 15 civilians, twelve Afghan policemen, eleven Afghan security forces and two Afghan National Army soldiers were wounded in the clashes.
