Victoria Pendleton, Kimberley Walsh and Denise Van Outen showed off their incredible figures at the launch of the new series in London, and their outfits just so happened to be drenched in tassels.
Olympian Victoria Pendleton, 31, arrived at the event wearing a barely-there glitzy gold outfit, and was carrying her gold and silver medals too. She was matching Walsh in the outfit department, as she too chose to wear a gold ensemble that featured cut-out detailing.
As Pendleton smiled for the cameras and held up her latest achievements, it was clear to see that the brunette didn’t need to hold her stomach in. Girls Aloud singer Walsh, didn’t show off as much of her stomach but did flash her leg with a thigh-high split.
Her hair had been perfectly blow-dried into huge bouncy curls and as she posed with her hand on her hip, the 30-year-old star looked excited to be there. She was followed on the red carpet by Denise Van Outen who looked simply stunning in a silver tasselled dress.
Kimberley Walsh has revealed that Strictly Come Dancing will be “a new challenge”.
The Girls Aloud singer has already shown off her dance moves as part of the group, but admitted taking to the dancefloor without her bandmates is daunting.
“I have danced before but not ballroom at that level, and I’ve always had the girls around me when I dance so this is a new challenge,” she said as she shimmied onto the sequin-covered red carpet in a gold dress at the show’s launch at BBC TV Centre in west London.
“I’m going to push myself, and I think the judges are going to be hard on me especially on the technical side, so I don’t think my past will make it any easier.”
Jerry Hall, the 56-year-old ex-wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, said: “I love the dancing! I hope my partner is going to be tall and handsome.”
Ballerina Darcey Bussell steps into Alesha Dixon’s heels as the new judge, alongside Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.
“So far, it’s been good – the other judges have been very supportive and are looking after me nicely,” she said.Bussell, who wore a beautiful purple lace gown, added: “I’m looking for an all-round performer that has entertainment value as well; it’s not just about their dancing skills.”
