Steam Deck: iFixit working on fix for annoying problem

If the Steam Deck is too loud and you’re bothered by the fan noise, you might be able to do something about it soon. iFixit engineers announce that they are working on a solution.

The Steam Deck is very easy to open depending on the need, as evidenced by some projects by hobbyists. A YouTuber could connect an external graphics card without any major hurdles.

Apparently, the fans can also be removed relatively easily. As seen in a previous iFixit video, the fan can be removed in just a few simple steps.

So if your fan sounds way too loud to you, there may be a solution to this problem very soon. Because iFixit announces the work on the new video project on Twitter.

Apparently, iFixit even wants to offer its own and quieter fans for hobbyists. However, if you already have your tools ready, you should know that opening the handheld on your own will void the warranty.
