Soldiers testimony over removing devices in heli crash : It was ‘curiosity’
Two soldiers arrested in the probe into the death of the leader of the Great Union Party, or BBP, state they removed flight-recording devices from the heli crash site ‘out of curiosity,’ not on orders, in their testimonies.
Two active-duty members of Turkish Army have been arrested in Turkey after a video shows both of the soldiers removing flight-recording devices from the wreckage. The arrested soldiers claim they acted out of curiosity and not on orders in their respective testimonies.
The soldiers, who were among seven suspects arrested Sunday in connection with the alleged disappearance of devices containing flight information about deceased BBP leader Muhsin Yazıcıoglu’s crashed helicopter in the controversial investigation. They allegedly are the ones responsible for dismantling the devices and removing them from the helicopter and the crash area in a southeastern territory in Turkey.
