Secret meeting with the Queen / Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry invited to a special occasion

According to a report by the British tabloid “Daily Mail”, the 95-year-old Queen has invited her grandson and his wife to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the rest of the royal family on the occasion of their 70th throne anniversary.

The Royal Family gathers there year after year to attend a traditional air show in honor of the Queen – actually as part of her birthday celebrations. On June 2nd, the family will now gather on the balcony as part of the four-day celebrations of Elizabeth II’s Jubilee. For the first time since the pandemic began, by the way.

Since Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals since their retirement as high-ranking members of the British royal family and their move to the United States, they no longer play a role in official events. But now it is said that a place on the balcony has been reserved for the two, promised to them by the Queen herself. Her appearance at the event would mean a great deal to the queen, according to sources inside the palace. However, a spokesman for the couple told the British Telegraph that there were no plans for future trips.

Reconciliation with lightning visit?

Harry and Meghan are currently at the Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands. There the 37-year-old told about meeting his grandmother at Windsor Castle, almost on the way to the sporting event. According to media reports, they only saw each other for 15 minutes. But in the British press it is treated as a “secret reconciliation meeting”. After the Sussexes’ withdrawal from royal ranks in early 2022 and, among other things, a headline interview between the couple and Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, in which there were, among other things, allegations of racism against the royal family, they are now apparently getting closer again.

Harry told Britain’s BBC: “She’s had numerous messages for the UK team, most of which I’ve already passed on. It was great to see her again. I bet she’d love to be here if she could .”

For the meeting with Queen Elizabeth II last week, Duchess Meghan returned to Great Britain for the first time since March 2020. Harry last arrived in his home country in the summer of 2021 for a ceremony in honor of his late mother Diana.
