Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney stated that the club should rise a statue to commemorate the career of team-mate Ryan Giggs who is alsı worthy of knighthood.

Mancherster / NationalTurk – Manchester United recently named a stand after Sir Alex Ferguson thank him for his 25 years of service and currently have two statues outside the Theatre of Dreams, with one of Sir Matt Busby, and the other paying tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Denis Law.

But Wayne Rooney says that Welshman Ryan Giggs is equally deserving of a tribute to his impact for the Manu.

‘If there’s one player over the last 20 to 25 years who deserves a statue outside Old Trafford, it’s Ryan Giggs,’ Rooney told NationalTurk ‘Because what Giggsy has done here is absolutely incredible. ‘You will make your debut as a 17 year old and and will still be playing at the top level 21 years later is a magnificent achievement., few can do that’
