Fire free for the next tour: The hearts of the fans beat faster when the new Rammstein tour was announced, especially since four dates in Germany are also planned. The official presale for the 2023 European shows began on Thursday. But the euphoria of many fans of the band quickly gave way to great frustration. Center of anger: The Eventim ticket platform.
Rammstein Tour 2023: Fan frustration already at the ticket presale
Already on Tuesday, many fans vented their anger on social platforms. At an exclusive presale for members of the official Rammstein fan club, almost everything that could go wrong went wrong. Apparently, Eventim did not indicate which tickets in the stadiums would fall under which category. So the fans had to “blindly” choose categories without knowing where they will be standing or sitting at the concert.
The result: complete confusion. Only the prices of the tickets gave a small indication of where they are supposed to be located. These were between EUR 96.80 and EUR 149.60 for the four dates in Germany (two in Berlin, two in Munich). The ticket platform was only able to solve the problem and present the seating plan after about an hour and a half. At this point, however, many fans had already grabbed it – often bad buys.
But not everything went according to plan with the official ticket sales either. As expected, there was a great rush of fans to get tickets. And so the virtual queue became the terminus for many.
It must have dawned on many fans, after just a few minutes, that the likelihood of seeing the band next summer was decreasing by the second.
But not only for the Germany concerts the tickets were quickly sold out. About half an hour after the official start of advance sales, the first stadiums reported: sold out! For Groningen and Brussels, for example, additional concerts were announced directly because of the large crowds.
Anyone who still wanted to buy a ticket for the original dates had to dig deep into their pockets. About three quarters of an hour after the start of sales, only VIP tickets for just under 500 euros were still available for the concert in the Stade de France in Paris.
For many Rammstein fans, the desire to see the band live is just a dream. It is not yet clear whether further concerts for the Rammstein Tour 2023 will be announced in the coming weeks.
Even if there is a great desire for tickets for sold-out concerts, fans should not think of buying tickets at overpriced prices on re-selling platforms such as Viagogo. Rammstein tickets are personalized and only valid in connection with an identification document. If the name on the ticket and ID do not match, the visitors of the concerts will not be admitted and will not be given a replacement.
