Paris Saint Germain seems to have found a new head coach. The current champion coach is still in office.
Coach Christophe Galtier has signed a two-year contract with French soccer champions Paris St. Germain and will be officially presented at a press conference on Tuesday (2 p.m.).
Galtier last trained in Nice
This is reported by the AFP news agency, citing a “source familiar with the matter”. Galtier, 55, was also spotted at the PSG office on Monday evening, videos on social media suggested.
Galtier, most recently coach at OGC Nice and recently replaced there by Lucien Favre, has been a top candidate for Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar for weeks.
Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino (contract until 2023) came under increasing pressure towards the end of the past season, in which the PSG star ensemble alone won the national championship. PSG and Pochettino are said to have agreed to terminate the contract at the end of last week.
