Procedural Changes for all visa applicants have been announced by US Embassy in Ankara, Turkey.

Us Embassy, Ankara / NationalTurk – As of 19 December 2012, the U.S. Embassy Ankara, Turkey will implement some procedural changes for all visa applicants and fiancé(e) visa applicants:

Here are the procedural changes for Us visa declared by US embassy Ankara in Turkey

PASSPORT PICKUP LOCATION REGISTRY: Before their interview dates, all visa applicants must visit usvisa-info.com to register a passport pickup location. Applicants/petitioners can also call the Visa Information Service at 0850 252 6355 from Turkey or (703) 439-2348 from the United States to register their pickup locations. Please note that this registration is required for each applicant (principal applicant and all family members, including children). After successful registration, applicants need to print out their registry receipts and bring them on their interview dates. We would like to remind applicants that failing to register your passport pickup location may cause delays in your visa processing.

RESCHEDULE: If you already scheduled an appointment date but will not be able to attend the interview, you can reschedule your appointment through usvisa-info.com. Applicants/petitioners can also call the Visa Information Service at 0850 252 6355 from Turkey or (703) 439-2348 from the United States to reschedule. U.S. Embassy Ankara will no longer handle reschedules.

FIANCÉ(E) VISAS: K1/K2 visa applicants need to schedule an appointment and pay the visa fee through usvisa-info.com upon receipt of a notification email from the Embassy. Fiancé(e) visa applicants/petitioners can also call the Visa Information Service at 0850 252 6355 from Turkey or (703) 439-2348 from the United States.
For Those Who Had Their Interviews Before 19 December 2012 But Were Temporarily Refused Under Ina Section 221(G) For Missing Documents And/Or Administrative Processing:

NON-TURKISH APPLICANTS: If your file is missing a document and/or needs administrative processing, then, upon completion of your administrative processing, you will need to return to the Embassy with your passport, missing documents and your address and phone number in Turkey any Monday through Thursday between 10:30am – 12:00. If your application is complete, we will return your passport and visa packet to your address in Turkey by UPS courier service. Please note that you will need to pay for UPS courier service at the time of delivery.

TURKISH APPLICANTS: If your file is missing a document, you can send it to the Embassy through a courier service along with your passport. If your case also needed administrative processing, please wait until your case number is announced in our web page before sending your missing documents. If your application is complete, then we will return your passport and visa packet to your address by UPS courier service. Please note that you will need to pay for UPS courier service at the time of delivery.
