Princess Kate delighted at her first Wimbledon appearance
As patron of the host tournament, Princess Kate cannot be absent from Wimbledon. In keeping with the occasion, she presented herself elegantly in mint green.
The Wimbledon Championships are the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world.
The 136th edition of the tennis tournament is currently taking place in London from July 3rd to 17th, 2023. Even the biggest tennis fan among the British Royals cannot miss the competition on the “sacred lawn” at Wimbledon: on Tuesday, Princess Kate attended her first tennis match of the current competition.
For the visit to the stands, Prince William’s wife chose an elegant combination of a mint green Balmain blazer with white lapels and large white buttons and a white midi-length pleated skirt. White pumps, pearl earrings and loose hair completed the look.
With this outfit, she appeared to attend a ceremony at the All England Club on Tuesday honoring her close friend Roger Federer. According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, Federer and his wife Mirka are then invited to watch the day’s games from the Royal Box.
Princess Kate has been patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, which hosts the annual tennis championships, since 2016. To catch some of the tennis matches ahead of the ceremony, Princess Kate joined former tennis player Laura Robson ahead of time to watch Katie Boulter v Daria Saville match. However, this had to be interrupted due to rain.
