Prince Andrew in need of money: Swiss chalet seized
Prince Andrew is in trouble again. After the sex scandal, he would now have ended up in heavy weather financially.
His Swiss chalet has been seized due to a debt, reports the Swiss newspaper Le Temps.
Andrew would have a debt of 1.8 million euros. The chalet would be worth more than 20 million euros. The royal would like to sell the property to pay Virginia Giuffre. Andrew had settled with Giuffre to avoid a lawsuit. The woman accused him of sexually abusing her when she was a minor. The Briton maintains that he is innocent.
According to a professor who consulted Le Temps about the matter, the sale of the chalet can go ahead, but then the creditors must give permission.
In order to pay the agreed amount, Andrew wants to sell the chalet. He would also have found a buyer, but because of the debt he has to a third person, the property has now been seized. As a result, the sale has been canceled for the time being and Andrew cannot meet his payment obligation towards Giuffre.
