A police officer in the US has been suspended for using a stun gun on a girl of only 10 years of age. But for not having a video camera attached when he used it.
Mayor Vernon McDaniel of Ozark, Arkansas, said officer Dustin Bradshaw was suspended for seven days with pay for not following department procedures, because he didn’t have the camera on.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that Mayor McDaniel wants police to investigate whether the use of the stun was proper. The girl wasn’t injured.
Police were called to the girl’s home on November 11 after her mother couldn’t get her to take a shower. Officer Bradshaw said the mother gave him permission to use his stun gun.
