Pakistan Friday said military and diplomatic talks were underway with India to defuse LoC tension, which flared up after killing of five Indian army men on August 6.
Islamabad, Aug 16/Nationalturk- Accusing Indian troops of injuring six civilians along Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistani controlled Kashmir (PcK), Pakistan Friday said military and diplomatic talks were underway with India to defuse LoC tension.
Pakistan’s newspaper, Express Tribune quoted Pakistan’s military sources as saying that Indian troops without any provocation fired at LoC, defecto border between India and Pakistan in Indian administered Kashmir, at Kotli sector in PcK twice yesterday.
“The Indian firing injured six civilians including two young girls,” they said.
The border tension between India and Pakistan has flared up since killing of five Indian soldiers at LoC in Poonch sector of Indian administered Kashmir on August 6. India has accused Pakistan army of killing five of its soldiers. However, Pakistan has denied the charge and said no such incident took place on the day.
Since August 6, Indian and Pakistani armies have been regularly exchanging heavy arms fire along LoC. Pakistan has alleged that two of its civilians were killed and many others injured in the Indian firing. Indian too has said some of its soldiers and civilians were injured in Pakistani firing.

Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs ministry has said military and diplomatic level talks were underway with India to defuse LoC tension.
In a statement, Pakistan foreign office said country had concerns regarding the situation at the LoC.
“We want to resolve the differences through dialogue with India,” it said and expressed Pakistan’s willingness to purse talks with its South Asian neighbour through all channels.

Pakistan’s National Assembly Tuesday passed a resolution denouncing unprovoked Indian aggression along the Line of Control. However, in a tit-for-tat move, Indian Parliament on Wednesday passed anti-Pakistan resolution and blamed Pakistani soldiers for killing of five armymen along LoC in Poonch.
