It has been reported that at least 45 people have been killed in a suicide bombing in Pakistan to the border of Afghanistan according to officials.
The bombing occurred at a tribal village called Yakaghund in the region of Mohmand known for the lawless tribes mainly linked with the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
According to reports, at least 90 others were also injured with many in serious condition as a suicide bomber on a motorcycle blew himself up near a local administrator’s office.
One witness also said that women and children were also amongst the injured and dead.
The explosion was so fierce that some buildings collapsed and it is thought that many people have been killed or injured under the rubble.
The attack hit an area with many shops and other commercial companies had outlets.
Many people were reported to have been waiting outside the administrator’s office when the suicide bomber on a motorcycle looked as though he lost his balance and was falling to the ground when the explosion went off.
The BBC also reported that the wall of a prison was demolished allowing some prisoners to flee.
