The fire from jet planes bombarded Mamuzai area in Orakzai, North Pakistan on the border of Afghanistan where suspected Taliban commanders who mastermind the terrorist groups operations were in the area having a meeting as they fled from the South of the country as Pakistani ground troops mount an offensive to Taliban strong holds.

The tribal area was bombarded by jet fire and bombs. A mosque and school were also targeted by the Pakistani jets as suspected terrorists were thought to be hiding in the buildings.

Pakistani officials have said independent confirmation cannot be done to determine the exact number of dead or the identities of the dead as there are restrictions in the tribal region.

The Taliban in Pakistan have been under great pressure from Pakistani offences that have killed key members of the terrorist group, especially after ground forces were deployed in the tribal areas at the border of Afghanistan.

However, Taliban have also done damage to Pakistani forces by bombing several buildings via suicide bombers in the last 3-4 months.
