The oil rig which had a total of 126 workers on it exploded in the early hours of Tuesday night local time.
There have been at least seven injuries with three of them in critical conditions.
The majority of the workers were rescued via air or ships and have arrived at land after the ordeal. However there are a reported eleven people who are as yet not accounted for.
Search teams are continuing efforts to find the workers as there are hopes that they might be on lifeboats at sea.
There are also worries of the Oil Rig collapsing, as it was reported that it has started to tilt to it’s side due to the heat caused by the fire melting the steel.
It is also reported that seven specially equipped boats have been sent to the area with cleaning gear in the case of any pollution to the waters.
