Obama seems confident, one day away from crucial health care legislation vote
President Barack Obama’s long turbulent struggle with the United States health care legislation looks to have gone towards Obama’s favour as Democratic politicians who were undecided begin to pick sides.
Obama’s campaign for the health care legislation saw him go to Virginia where he campaigned for the support of the nation, and even went far enough to declare victory.
Obama said “We are going to fix health care in America.” to the huge crowed in Virginia. He carried on by saying, it was time to stand up to insurance companies.
Obama’s next stop will be Capital Hill, where his party will finalise the last few rules that will allow them to pass the long debated bill.
Sunday’s vote at the House of Representatives is being seen as a make or break moment in Obama’s administration. Failure to pass could result in catastrophe as Obama has put his presidency on the line for his most important domestic agenda.
Obama’s health care propositions is being fiercely opposed by the Republicans after they say that the plans will result in the government taking over health care which will result in higher taxes and deficits.
President Obama, received much applause for going on FOX news
Obama’s health care reform proposition if approved will mean almost every American would be required to have health care insurance.
Families who cannot afford the health insurance will eligible for government help. Americans who refused the health legislation will be fined.
Obama even went far enough to except an interview with Fox News who are known for their biased right wing views.
The interview Obama made with Fox news anchor man Bret Baier had interrupted Obama several times during their interview.
Baier even went far enough to interrupt the president at the end of their interview to apologise for interrupting him so much.
