A new storm alarm has been issued in Perth after yesterdays storm that battered most of the city.
The Australian city of Perth was battered by a freak storm which hit the city late last night.
The Western capital of Australia, had roads blocked and left without electricity after the massive storm caused hail stones at big as tennis balls to batter much of the city.
The new storm alarm has been raised in a much larger area then the one that hit Perth yesterday.
Residents in many Southern and Western Cities especially close to the coastal areas in Australia are being urged to stay indoors and away from windows.
The South Western cities in the country are expected to be worst effected by the new storm.
The storm that hit Perth yesterday was the worst one in 15 years which is even more confusing and worrying for residents as it came after the driest summer ever recorded in the city.
The storms broke electricity lines and blocked roads after branches and other debris fell on roads.
Gale winds of up to 80 Mph with hail stones left havoc in the city as windows of vehicles, homes, shops and offices were brought down.
The storm also caused flash floods and land slides. The complete amount of rain fall in January, February and March was only 0.3mm according to the Australian meteorology services. However within only a couple of minutes over 40mm of rain water fell over the city.
Most schools were closed today and will remain closed until the damages are repaired as roofs broke and windows were shattered.
Damages are expected to reach hundreds of millions of pounds as 180000 homes lost power.
By the morning only half of the city had power.
