Netanyahu’s Residence Targeted in Another Attack

Two signal flares were fired into the garden of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea. While Netanyahu and his family were not home at the time, the attack has sparked widespread condemnation from Israeli officials.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea came under attack again, as two signal flares were fired into the garden late on November 16, 2024. Authorities confirmed that Netanyahu and his family were not at home during the incident, and no damages were reported.

Officials Condemn the Attack

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz described the attack as crossing “all red lines.” He stated, “It is unacceptable that a prime minister, already threatened by Iran and its proxies, faces similar threats from within his own country.” Katz called on security and judicial authorities to take decisive action.

President Isaac Herzog also condemned the incident, emphasizing the need to protect democratic institutions. Meanwhile, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir remarked, “The incitement against Prime Minister Netanyahu has reached dangerous levels. Firing signal flares at his home is a blatant crossing of all red lines.”

October Incident: Drone Attack

This latest attack follows a similar incident in October 2024, when Netanyahu’s Caesarea residence was targeted by a drone. Israeli media reported that the drone struck a reinforced bedroom window but failed to penetrate it. Netanyahu and his wife were not home during that attack either.

Increased Security Measures

Following the repeated attacks, Israeli authorities have announced plans to review and enhance security measures around Netanyahu’s residence. Enhanced surveillance and stricter access controls are expected to be implemented.

Rising Tensions Within Israel

The attack on Netanyahu’s residence reflects growing tensions within Israel. Analysts warn that such incidents could deepen societal divisions and exacerbate political polarization.

The Israeli police have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and their motives. As of now, no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
