NBA’s Chicago Bulls transfer Fenerbahçe Ülker centre Ömer Aşık

The Chicago Bulls have landed an agreement with Turkish International and Fenerbahçe Ülker centre Ömer Aşık to bring the 6 foot, 9 inch player to the NBA.

According to the Chicago Bulls official website the giant centre player who has been known for his blocks and rebounds at Fenerbahçe Ülker has struck a $1 million a year contract.

The towering 24-year-old is in the Turkish All Stars which will play in the World Basketball Championship hosted in Turkey during August 28 and September 12.

Asik who was born in Bursa, North Western Turkey, started his carrier at Fenerbahçe ib the 2005-06 season when he was just 19-years-old.

In the 2007-06 season the centre was transferred to Alpella where he had a very successful season before transferring back to Fenerbahçe Ülker (the change of name comes due to sponsorship deals) in the 2007-08 season.

The injury prone player then appeared for Fenerbahçe Ülker for three season until 2010 where he has now transferred to Chicago Bulls of the NBA.

The young centre who’s birthday was just days ago has suffered knee ligament injuries and a broken collar bone causing great effect on the giant mans performance.

The Bulls have been looking for a cheap but efficient player at the centre which can be a reserve behind Joakim Noah and believe Aşık is the write man for the job.
