Football scholar, academician and coach Müslüm Gülhan has led Istanbul’s Halic University football team to another championship at the 1st European Universities Games in Cordoba, Spain.
Cordoba, Spain / NationalTurk – NationalTurk reporter and football scholar Muslum Gülhan whose analysises at the Euro 2012 has drawn great interest, had presented the 9th European Universities Football Championships 2011 in Istanbul.
The football scholar and academician is coaching Halic University Football Team since 2007 and he led his football team to a championship at the 1st European Universities Games in Cordoba, Spain in men’s football competition.
In men’s competition, played at the Fontanar stadium, the University of Montpellier from France won the third place, and the final match was between the Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University from Russia and the Halic University from Turkey.
In the dynamic match, the Turkish students showed more skills and managed to obtain the champion’s title in football at the 1st edition of the EUSA Games with a 2-o victory. a total of 12 teams from 11 countries competed for victory at EUSA games.
At the 1st European Universities Games taking place in Cordoba, Thursday, July 19 was filled with an abundance of sports competition, from basketball, futsal, handball, tennis and volleyball – each of the before mentioned sports in group stages, eliminations or quarter finals.
