At least eleven people have reportedly been killed in Morocco after the Minaret of a mosque collapsed.
The incident occurred during Friday Prayer which increased casualties.
There have also been reports that there were dozens of injured with many in serious condition.
An official at the scene said that he counted at least 13 bodies lying on the ground.
It has been reported that there were at least 80 people trapped beneath the rubble after the 400 year old Minaret collapse.
Observers say that while neglected buildings in the old quarters of Morocco’s cities collapse fairly often, the fall of a minaret is rare.
