The 27-year-old swimmer Michael Phelps was photographed this week, kicking back on a beach in the Maldives with his closest friends. The guys-only trip saw the legendary Olympian skip out early on the London 2012 Olympics and miss the closing ceremony in favour of lounging around, on the white-sand beaches and working on his tan.
Despite her absence on the island, Michael Phelps is reportedly smitten with Los Angeles-based model Megan Rossee. The young pair, Michael Phelps and Megan Rossee, have been quietly dating for the past 6 months, so that Olympic gold medalist Phelps could concentrate on his swimming.
The couple was first pictured together leaving a London nightclub at 4am, following his London Olympic success.

Currently, Michael Phelps hangs with his friends on a beach holiday to the tropical paradise of the Maldives. According to a Maldives travel site the Michael Phelps’ group is living the life at a luxury resort in Ari Atoll. Taking in the sights and the turquoise waters of the Asian island, swimmer Michael Phelps has been lounging, boating and boozing.
The 27-year-old Michael Phelps announced at the weekend that he will work on his golf handicap under the watchful eye of Tiger Woods’ former coach Hank Haney in a new series of the Golf Channel’s The Haney Project.
The retired swimmer Phelps has also signed on with Louis Vuitton as part of the fashion brand’s Core Values campaign.
Michael Phelps has opted not to return to the United States just yet. However the Olympian star has not shied away entirely from capitalizing on his swimming glory. Michael Phelps leaves the sport with a record 18 golds and 22 medals overall.
