Turkey’s Ambassador in Moscow Halil Akinci said that 12 agreements would be signed during Russian President Medvedev’s scheduled visit to Turkey.
He said that Turkey and Russia also agreed in principle to remove visa requirements. An agreement could be signed during the Russian President’s visit or later, the ambassador added.
A scheduled visit by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Turkey from Tuesday night is expected to produce important agreements on nuclear electricity projects, oil and gas pipelines and visa-free travel.
Finishing touches are being put. Deputy Premier Igor Sechin told this to reporters in Ankara Tuesday after emerging from talks with the Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.
Russia and Turkey are also forming a bilateral body called the Supreme Cooperation Council.
