Manchester United to make a transfer deal with Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney swap has been reached on the last corner.
According to Manchester United officials suggest the club now accept that Wayne Rooney did not ask to leave at the end of last season; although the England forward wants United to make that fact public. The 27-year-old’s relationship with the fans has been tarnished for a second time; and he is said to be furious as he did nothing to warrant it on this occasion.
With just a week to go before the summer transfer windows open, speculations are rife on the transfer of some of the biggest names in today’s football. The latest we hear is that Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney could swap places in a £90million deal between Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Real Madrid are interested in Rooney, who is valued at around £30m, and its new boss Carlo Ancelotti has been a long-time admirer of England striker and would be happy to sacrifice Ronaldo if it meant he could sign the United star.
Interestingly, reports were doing the rounds that Manchester United are keen to bring its former star Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club.
They want to sign him after his contract with Real Madrid gets over in 2015, as they are currently not in the position to offer him as big as Monaco and Paris Saint Germain,
A meeting will take place between the player and David Moyes next week, with the former said to be keen to stay at Old Trafford. It is thought that Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure has led to Wayne Rooney believing he can still be an integral part of the team, after playing much of last season in less favoured positions.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney could be set to head in opposite directions in what would be one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer. According to the Daily Star’s Sunday sports supplement, Manchester United will fork out €70 million plus Rooney in order to bring the Portuguese star back to Old Trafford.
Cristiano Ronaldo remains a hugely popular figure in Manchester, while Rooney would be a perfect makeweight in the deal, having been heavily tipped to leave Old Trafford. Though Chelsea has been linked with a swoop for the England international, now Real Madrid has entered the fray, as Bernabéu manager-to-be Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the striker and the club could easily match his wage demands.
United must learn from real how to get the player thy want
