Borussia Dortmund’s Polish International striker is transfer to Manchester United. United got forward triumph Rooney, Van Persie and Robert Lewandowski.
Manchester United FC transfer news puts forward reports about the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker, Robert Lewandowski, for £18 million. Sir Alex Ferguson has been a long admirer of the player, which could be the primary factor for the signing of the striker. Old Trafford is reported to double the wages of the player for the new contract.
Sir Alex Ferguson might be looking to offer the player a five-year contract worth £20.5 million or £ 4.1 million annually. The Polish international has told his friends that he would be leaving Bundesliga next summer.Robert Lewandowski has been the main source of goals for Dortmund, though lags behind on the pay front of the club.
Dortmund had earlier stated that the striker would not leave until his contract expired, but things seem to be different now as they have agreed for a transfer move. Inter Milan is reported to start a bidding war for the Polish player after deciding to enter the race for the 24-year-old striker.
Robert Lewandowski has found the net 40 times in 83 league games for Dortmund and would make one of Europe’s most revered attacking line-up by joining forces with Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie for Manchester United FC. Rooney was currently reported to miss three weeks due to a knee injury.
Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed the injury by saying, “Wayne has felt the ligament in the back of his knee in training — he’ll probably be out for two or three weeks.” With Lewandowski averaging a goal for every alternate game, he will be even a greater force to reckon with after joining the ranks of Manchester United FC.
