A man was run over by several S-Bahn trains at a Hamburg train station after falling onto the track bed. Miraculously, he survived the accident.
Incredible accident at the S-Bahn station in Hamburg-Bergedorf: During the night a man fell from the platform onto the track bed and was run over by five S-Bahn trains. He suffered life-threatening injuries. A spokesman for the federal police confirmed previous media reports about the incident.
At around 12:15 a.m., the unidentified man fell and remained lying in the area of the tracks. “If you look at video recordings, you could get the impression that the person might have been under the influence of alcohol,” said the police spokesman. In the course of the next three hours, the man was then run over by five S-Bahn trains, according to the current status of the investigation.
It was only at 3:15 a.m. that the driver of an S-Bahn discovered the seriously injured person. Rescue workers then took him to a Hamburg hospital.
