David Beckham surprised 60 unsuspected sports fans of the public who were posing for Team GB fan snaps at the shopping centre in Stratford, a short distance from the Olympic Park in London.
Yesterday David Beckham’s sponsors Adidas invited members of the public to take pictures in their Olympics themed photo booth – while their poster boy Beckham was hiding nearby.
37 year-old star David Beckham, who was hiding in a secret section of the booth, said : ‘ It was a unique experience for me and the people who took part and there were some great reactions when we surprised them in the photo booth. I always love coming back to London and the activity was a great opportunity for me to get involved in the Adidas Take The Stage campaign and get behind Team GB. ‘

One of the football fans, a stunned schoolboy, who was with his mother Elaine, burst in to tears when he spotted Beckham come out of the darkness. The former England skipper, now playing with LA Galaxy, David Beckham gave the lad a hug as the youngster’s mother looked on.
Despite not making the Team GB football team, the former England skipper David Beckham has told he would love to be involved in the London Olympic Games 2012.
During the last month Adidas have been capturing Team GB athletes like they’ve never been seen before through the special Take the Stage photo booth.
The stunt was part of adidas’s Take The Stage campaign supporting British sporting talent.
