Kilicdaroglu elected as CHP chairman again

Voting held during 2-day main opposition Republican People's Party in capital Ankara.

Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) reelected Kemal Kilicdaroglu as the chairman.

Kilicdaroglu garnered 1,251 votes out of 1,318 during the 37th regular congress of party. He assumed the post for seventh term.

The two-day congress started at Bilkent University’s Odeon exhibition center in the capital Ankara.

Kilicdaroglu has been serving as the chairman of CHP since 2010.
