Kenyan actress and former Music Network face of Africa beauty, Lupita Nyong has been featured in a new Hollywood movie due to be released.

Lupita Nyong recently confirmed that she is part of the cast for a new action thriller dubbed Non-Stop, which features Liam Neeson (Taken) and Emmy Award winner Julianne Moore.

The shuga actress who is Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o’s daughter said she also will play an air hostess called Gwen in the film alongside Michelle Dockery of the popular TV production Downton Abbey.

The Mexican-born Kenyan actress said she will be playing the supporting role, Patsey in acclaimed director Steve McQueen’s Hollywood Film which will be released later in December this year.

The black beauty who is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama also featured in “12 Years a Slave”; a drama that stars Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt among others in an impressive cast line-up.

The Drama history film according to The Internet Movie Database is based on a true story of a man living in New York in the mid- 1800s who was kidnapped and sold into slavery in the Deep South.

She played the role of Patsey, a slave who is the object of both the cruelty and affection of Master Epps, played by Fassbender.

Lupita Nyong’o debuted in Kenya with her production ‘In My Genes’ and her starring role in Music Television sex education film ‘Shuga’ (2009). This will be her debut role in Hollywood.

Lupita Nyong’o is a Kenyan actress and filmmaker who was born in Mexico to Kenyan parents and raised in Kenya.

She graduated from Yale School of Drama and acting program in the United States of America at a very tender age.

She first starred in her movie career in the Kenyan television series Shuga and in 2009, she wrote, directed, and produced the documentary In My Genes, about the treatment of Kenya’s albino population in Kenya.

This documentary brought her to the lime light as the documentary was aired on international Television Network across the world.

Lupita’s stage credits include playing Perdita in The Winter’s Tale, (Yale Repertory Theater), Sonya in Uncle Vanya, Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew, as well as being in the original production of Michael Mitnick’s Elijah.

The actress is definitely going places with her career as an actress due to this new opportunity offered to him by the best film industry in the world.
