“Just reported me” / Influencer Gerda Lewis was intercepted by customs

Gerda Lewis was pulled out by customs at the airport. The reason: her expensive branded shoes. The influencer could now even face charges.

“My life is really the purest movie,” Gerda Lewis recently explained to her Instagram followers in disbelief. The former Bachelorette was just on vacation in the United States and attended the famous Coachella festival there – and then she suddenly got in trouble with the law.

The influencer describes what happened: “I was pulled out by customs, of course because of my Balenciaga shoes. It was my own fault, I didn’t register it, which I should have done. I didn’t think about it.” Now she had to pay a third of the price as a fine. “They said they look ‘new’ and if I don’t have proof that I got them from Germany, they’re right.”

“It’s just a pair of shoes”

The fine might not be the only consequence for TV awareness. “Now they’ve just reported me for tax evasion of 900-euro shoes,” she complains. “I would have understood if I had imported something crass, but it’s just a pair of shoes,” she says.

She will now contact her lawyer and see what consequences the situation could have. But after talking to a few people about it, she hopes the charges will be dropped. “Because I paid the fine,” said Gerda.

She also has the feeling that the officers may not have pulled her out indiscriminately, but that “it was someone’s intention,” she surmises. “Because I’ll tell you honestly, not a single person was pulled out and I’m wearing the shoes on my feet and that I’m the only person being pulled out and they specifically ask me about these shoes – that’s a lot of coincidences at once.”
